I would never recommend cutting off trade with another free country(even if they don't like us). Americans should voluntarily buy less French stuff & more US or Japanese stuff(if that's how you feel). We have more in common with the French than the Saudis & we are also running a 1bn deficit with the Saudis. This is the Dec '02 #. Remember the Saudis funded 9-11. Can't accuse the French of that. We need to reduce our reliance on Saudi oil .
