Hi John, (Hope this gets through... SI server down msg received earlier)

< My outlook for the next few weeks is based purely on chart analysis (I wouldn't know how to correlate this company's poor financial performance to its resilient stock price using any type of standard TA).>

If you know what a Raff Channel is, place one on the colsolidation period of which you speak. The upper limit is 45.

Implied in your statement is that TA only looks at chart analysis in a vacuum. At least that's what I'm reading into what you say... but that is not the entire game. One of the best ways of determining investor sentiment is to determine what the stock does when presented with news... bad OR good. If, as AOL has, it reacts to the opposite or continues it's pattern or consolidation without reaction... that IS important in assessing the stock future path. In this case, at least by my estimation, AOL has already discounted the bad news and is looking out past it when things get good again... at least I thought you bought stocks on what was to be, not what was now... unless you are into options, as I am,

I hope that helps... not that I am any expert... just some ideas I have picked up along the way. Maybe you can share a few???

Good luck in the markets.

Bill
