Re: XLNX taking share... Add the Dec quarter to your analysis and what your trend will show was in fact that ALTR was taking share after XLNX got complacent in 95/96 - ALTR kicked ass and it payed off in 97/98. XLNX now has a better product position and stopped ALTR market share gain last quarter and REGAINED share this quarter. Next quarter will most likely see XLNX regain even more market share. Fact is that at this time, XLNX has a better product portfolio.
