What doesn't belong on SI boards is disruption of useful conversation with canards. If the misbehavior of juveniles imposes a requirement of censorship of their posting to keep the conversation useful... censor away...

Always nice to see some Freebeee Newbees show up around here once in a while. Almost all of us old timers here had to cough up SEVERAL hundred dollars for "country club membership fees" earlier this century. With the payment of the "lifetime membership fee' we were provided with, what we were told, would be "exclusive privileges" to post on SI. So, it is sort of like a Country Club around here. I have personally been here for over a decade and paid my financial dues. So excuse some of the old timers that get a bit cranky when Freebee Newbees waltz in and start telling them how to act in the Country Club that they paid to join, and in which you now parade around in at no financial cost to you.
Silicon Investor is full of examples of threads that are not as focused as they once were.

This thread was originally about SanDisk, but the subject of SanDisk was hijacked when the thread was invaded by a series of SI posters, canards as you would call them, that has turned it into a subsidiary of the Apple Tankwatch Thread. I believe the SI Hall Monitors eventually had to change the name into the name it now carries, which is now "Formerly About SanDisk".
Likewise the thread here is now named NOK or AAPL?
If you don't like the title, or believe the content does not fit the title, then you can request the SI Hall Monitors to change it. They created the name... NOT ME! So if you have an issue with the title, you can discuss it with them here.

So like I said.. As a friendly reminder.. The Hall Monitors have opened up the Country Club to any Freebee Newbee that happens to walk by. But, I would not expect that many of the long time "Paid Up Members" will be too embracing of the Newbee Freebee's walking around telling them how they should run their railroads.

However, it is my opinion that this is an issue for the Hall Monitors. I could ban them here, but that will not stop them on creating havoc on the rest of SI. as they currently do. When they make statements like this. I do not endorse there statements, nor is it my place, in my opinion, to Ban them. As they say.. SI is "Not my Pig, Not my Farm." I just cultivate a couple of square feet. If the Hall Monitors have issues, ie TOU violations, then it is the job of the Hall Monitors to take up the violations with the individual members. No my job to play God.
So feel free to walk around and take in the atmosphere, it appears you already have 12 of you own Message boards to Moderate. Sounds like you have more than enough workload to occupy your time.
