About ten notebook vendors, including Ausutek, Gigabyte, Hewlett-Packard (HP), Acer and BenQ, will showcase notebooks featuring the AMD Turion 64 X2 CPUs at the up coming Computex Taipei 2006 (June 6-June 10), according to today's Chinese-language Apple Daily quoting industry sources. Last week, motherboard makers confirmed that AMD will launch the Turion 64 X2 mobile platform on May 17 and AM2-compatible processors on May 23.
Prices for dual-core notebooks in the Taiwan market now ranges between NT$35,000-40,000 (US$1,098-1,255), the paper said. digitimes.com |
