Lately such problems get immediately publicized and (at least we are led to believe) quickly straightened out. There's no doubt that there's nothing 100% secure - its simply a matter of whether the time and resources naredowells or joyhackers can devote is worth the payoff. I am personally aware that university email is notoriously vulnerable and I assume much of the corporate world is little better in spite of their lip service to firewalls.

This just drives home the point that everyone should outsource these functions and let their in house computer folks sleep soundly and put some time into making computer newbies more productive(granted a security flaw at a major outfit like hotmail affects more people but the scale and therefore available talent of these outfits should limit flaws). I think Visto and others need to be ready to ride this trend!

ps - let me know if you find out about that notes hole...
