I'm supposing that Jay and I are the only folks around here (with the exception, perhaps, of a few stealthy, trench-coated lurkers), but, in any case, when I shot my opening salvo here on Dec 29, ECGO could have been bought for 23/32 over the subsequent several days. As of now it's bidding 1 1/4 on encouraging volume, so the move thus far has been gratifying, inasmuch as what really counts in this game is being right rather than merely making scads of money. (Do I hear faint snickers and scoffing out there? . . . Nah.) Come the end of Feb., when Eco reports, I expect the stock to be higher yet as increasing numbers of investors become energized by a genuine turnaround possibility while many of the remaining sellers (now outnumbered, I think) bail into the rise. And come the spring Eco's MM Industra subsidiary should benefit handily from the rise on oil prices over the prior months. |
