The Handspring Visor is coming out with a module that accepts Memory Stick for data storage. visorcentral.com Lexar is marketing the Memory Stick and MS includes Lexar controller technology. Lexar's broad range of compatible devices and unparalled performance is sure to attract some major attention when this market turns around. I also like Lexar's Management a great deal as they have proven themselves to be extremely aggressive and fight to the teeth. The recent Patent litigation resolution with Sandisk resulted in terms very favorable to Lexar IMO. This litigation could have potentially resulted in much a much more damaging judgement, but Lexar's aggressive sharks were able to snatch a partial victory from almost certain total defeat. Lexar's marketing of themselves as a "Pure Digital Photography" play is clever, but doesn't tell the whole story. The new Handspring module is one such example. Lexar's Memory Sticks and CompactFlash cards can be used in cameras, PDA's, mp3 players,and a whole host of new generation products needing very fast, reliable, and small-form removable storage.
