No thread on South Africa can omit mentioning the BEST cream liquer that you can buy anywhere. Amurula Cream knocks the socks off Bailey's Irish Cream.
I went with a bunch of Canadians to Zambia on a business trip, returning via Jo'burg and almost all of them bought bottles of Amurula as their duty free.

Also travelling on South African Airways to and fro to London, UK, I was very surprised not to hear Afrikans on the plane's public address system. Isn't Afrikans still one of the official languages.
