Mr. Harry Barr reports
A two-drill rig diamond drilling program will commence on the River Valley,
Sudbury, Ont., palladium-platinum group metal (PGM) property on Feb. 4,
2001. The 11,000-metre program will consist of approximately 60 drill holes
and is expected to be completed by the end of June. The $2-million program
is financed by Anglo American Platinum Corp. Ltd., the largest PGM producer
in the world. Anglo American PLC holds a majority interest in Anglo
Platinum. The current price of palladium is $1,025 (U.S.) and platinum is
$603 (U.S.).
Currently, Pacific North West Capital (PFN) has eight projects located
within 50 miles of two large smelters in the Sudbury mining district,
Ontario. PFN has working capital of approximately $2.5-million and is an
industry leader in the exploration and development of platinum group metals
in Canada.
