Hilton CEO: Hotel Industry Strong But
Neglected By Street

Dow Jones Newswires

NEW YORK -- The hotel industry is booming, thanks to a combination of
strong demand and moderate supply, but Wall Street seems not to notice
it, said Hilton Hotels Corp. (HLT) President and Chief Executive Stephen
Bollenbach.

"The key to the hotel business is the ability to balance supply and demand,"
he told CNBC Wednesday. "It takes a lot of time to put new capacity on
the stream. Thus, the slowdown in the economy that we are likely to have
is not going to impact our business too much."

According to Bollenbach, Wall Street is missing the potential of the hotel
business.

"The cash goes into new businesses and new technology, he said, "but at
some point, the hotel business will be back in fashion."
