"Newbridge in talks with 3Com" headline for story in Canada's Fincial Post.
NN is said to be negotiating an agreement for a major U.S. telecom firm to include Newbridge equipment in its products.

Some analysts have told client investors about an impending deal between 3Com Corp and NN, although no formal announcement is expected from the two companies until next month. NN was expected to discuss the negotiations with financial analysts at a meeting in Ottawa last night in advance of today's annual meeting.

An agreement with 3Com would cement a three way relationship that has grown between NN, 3Com and German telecommunications giant Siemens AG.
