MP 9320 EPC Reader offers integrators a high value, robust,
multi-protocol solution

EPC Symposium, CHICAGO, IL, Sept. 11 /CNW/ - SAMSys Technologies Inc.
(SMY:TSX-VEN) ("SAMSys"), a world leading provider of radio frequency
identification (RFID) hardware solutions and RFID integration consulting
services, today announced the introduction of their new UHF EPC reader, the
MP 9320 Version 2.0. SAMSys will be demonstrating the new MP 9320 reader at
the EPC Symposium (Booth E205) in Chicago at the McCormick Center, September
15-17.

The MP 9320 EPC reader supports the EPC Class 1/V1 protocol today and is
designed to be field-upgradeable to support the new EPC Version 2 protocols
now being defined by the Auto ID Center. Like all SAMSys readers, the MP 9320
is a multi-protocol reader designed to protect end users from premature RFID
reader infrastructure obsolescence due to evolving standards, technology
innovation, and improving cost structures.

"SAMSys is genuinely pleased to bring this UHF reader to market,
supporting the Auto ID Center's EPC architecture," said Tres Wiley, President
& COO of SAMSys. "UHF technology has been ready for several years now to
enable users to gain the benefits of RFID in their supply chains. We
congratulate MIT and the UCC/EAN for having brought focus to the technology
and system architecture so as to enable Wal-Mart and others to confidently
begin using the technology in their day to day operations."

The MP 9320 reader enables system integrators to choose readily
available, off-the-shelf UHF antennas from a variety of sources because of the
unique RF power management unit within each reader. The reader supports four
multi-plexed antennas, allowing the unit to be used in a variety of logistics
applications, from conveyor belts, to dock doors, to fork lift trucks.

SAMSys also offers a comprehensive line of RFID readers at low frequency
and high frequency bands, as well as UHF. SAMSys readers are designed and
qualified to operate in North American and European regulatory environments.
Their products meet many established RFID industry standards and SAMSys plays
an active role in setting new, emerging industry standards. SAMSys offers a
variety of reader solutions, including standard frequency-specific readers;
custom-made, application specific reader systems; and OEM modules to provide
tailored solutions for a wide variety of supply chain and asset management
applications. In addition to providing reader solutions, SAMSys offers
consulting services that focus on the front-end of the RFID implementation
process, the matching of the appropriate RFID technology to specific end user
requirements.
