It is a real sickness of the left. I talked to a liberal loon from church over the weekend. She was complaining about talk radio.

I mentioned that if she wanted to avoid hearing a conservative voice all she had to do was tune out one radio station (Ok more than that, but they are mostly carrying the same programming). I continued to say that avoiding liberal spin required not reading any newspapers or watching the big five FMSM tv networks.

Her response was that the local paper was conservative (in her mind). Apparently cartoons by Oliphant and daily editorials by Molly Ivans are conservative in her mind.

The staff writers of that paper appear to all have a liberal Democrat agenda. The practice of "journalism" (writing characterized by a direct presentation of facts or description of events without an attempt at interpretation) is not present in any article in that rag.

Lefties (political, not southpaws) are often not rational. Many of them exude superiority and arrogance. The posts under discussion are further evidence of the disconnect between lefties (see above) and both the center of society and those to the right of center.
