Don, my guess would be it's caught up in the overexhuberance mode that seems to have overtaken the market. That coupled with some '97 tax sellers getting back in and a new bunch of value investors getting in before earnings could easily explain this. We have to remember that Novell is an extremely attractive stock to the uninformed. Seems that the volatility has picked up slightly in the last month or so. Don't forget also that we still have some lingering buyout rumors. Assuming a buyout is not in the short term future, they may actually be able to get the stock up a little through creative accounting and the right comments looking forward. I certainly don't expect to hear about Asian problems from Novell. I do expect a vague forecast of things being better in the second half of the year and no mention of progress towards becoming an internet leader. If they're still plugging along at the end of the year, the CEO will likely be canned and then.....
