I don't consider myself to be an especially good investor, which is why I keep my day job :) However, I don't understand this run-up on news that C++B is shipping. It was a known fact weeks ago that it had gone to manufacturing and therefore release was imminent (as soon as they came back!)

I would expect meaningful positive news to have a good effect on its price, such as the licensing by Oracle. I would also expect news dealing with actual sales/profits/etc to affect price.

But simply because the product is shipping, which was expected, doesn't seem to be enough to make this kind of rise. Do you, as I do, think it will fall back some? I wouldn't mind adding shares, but it seems like today's action can't be sustained without real economic type news. Is this just euphoria?

I use and like Borland products, and new CEO seems to be trying to turn the company around. But it still seems quite speculative until more real news of the positive kind, hopefully happens.
