James I have a couple of questions and an observation or two. First off will any of the shares of the affiliates be spun off to current NN shareholders? Probably not but one can hope. Second I would think that if there is no truth to the 3Com deal a complete denial would have been made. Not just an evasion. Wouldn't you agree? I also can't stress enough how big the deal with BT is as it represents the first of many deals(I hope) to come with major telecomm companies. Even if there is no deal with 3COM just the mere mention of it as a possibility shows just how much NN's technology is respected and desired.

It's interesting isn't it that in the modem wars Lucent and 3COM are lined up on opposite sides. Lucent is suing NN. 3COM and others are apparently very interested in NN's ATM technology. Apparently Lucent is nervous that NN will be making deals with ROBC's? If a 3COM deal does not happen NN will successfully market it's products itself. Just one big deal here in the US will start the cascade(pun intended ASND owners) of sales in the states. I can hardly wait. Analyst's are already struggling to determine how much value to assign to NN in this latest deal with BT. Are we finally headed back into the days of yesteryear where NN consistantly beat earnings estimates? Regards, Jeff
