I didn't keep count of the LOC, but there are 12 clients out there that are now in various stages of Y2K compliancy. One life insurance company had 13 million lines and a railroad had 12 million, so it's at least 25 million. Probably about 50 million overall.

My function was to help them get started with pilot projects and I did some training of Y2K project managers. Since there was never an issue this large in the history of data processing, there are many subtle side effects of the timing of changes that have to be considered. You don't just fall out of bed in the morning and "fix" the Y2K problem.

Incidentally, I retired 11/1/96. Coming up on my 1 year anniversary. And, no, I don't miss it a bit. If you're thinking of making me an offer, don't bother.
