>The Economist piece was thoroughly flawed in its logic. The Economist's argument was not that bad times must follow good times. It was that good times produced by excessive monetary and credit inflation are always followed by bad times!!!!!! They then provided some what is a great deal of the evidence of monetary and credit inflation.
