I do go occasionally ... interesting post. I suspected that ML was in deep. Their PM analyst Ted Arnold is the perennial PM bear. I suspect (but have no proof) that some of these brokerage houses have borrowed gold heavily as cheap sources of investment dollars. If this house of cards starts to crumble, that little brokerage house may not be far off in their assessment. Let's face it - when business "A" get in trouble, the natural thing for business "B" to do is _buy business "A" cheap (as WB tried to do) NOT lend it capital to STAY in business. IMO the only reason business "B" would lend it money is if business "B" was also in jeopardy if "A" caved in .... I hope that makes sense.
