Come on people, don't be naive. Lucent does not need new board or fresh blood in its upper management. It's an ol' boys and girls network, and all Baby Bells (the ones who have some money for equipment I may add) also have same old former AT&T execs. Everybody knows everybody, and old friends do little favors to each other now and then. Thus the only chance Lucy has in selling anything to anybody is if it keeps old connections. Frankly, in this environment I'm amazed that Lucent somehow will still get 3 billion in revenue. Call me skeptical if you want...
