System Tray...

The System Trap program is responsible for displaying two icons. One is the yellow speaker icon for adjusting the volume and I can't remember what the other one is for sure, but it could be display properties.

If you aren't using these icons, Systray isn't needed. There is no harm in removing it. Systray provides more than its fair share of computer glitches, and many experience noticable reliability improvements once it's disabled.

I don't run Systray on my system.
