Arsonist Jonathan Rinderknecht will be deported back to Lima, Ohio, after release from prison, where he grew up with his Baptist missionary parents. His father still works as a Baptist missionary from the US to residents of Marseilles, France. . During the fires, Rinderknecht live in an area of Hollywood which was evacuated for an evening due to a nearby arson fire in Griffith Park. A former neighbor described him as soft-spoken and introverted. Rinderknecht recently threatened to burn down his sister's home in West Melbourne, Florida where he has been living, leading to his being declined bail options.
