Yes and no, Maurice. Assume you were born in some poverty stricken nation ruled by corrupt politicians who for little bribes will grant access to the resources of the country. And if they are not corrupt please pay attention what US was trying to achieve in Venezuela. So far radio, tv, telephones and access to internet created only mass exodus from these countries. The more advanced technology the more poverty in Africa, S. America. We are only small fraction of the world population to be lucky to live where we are. What the sense of investing in these countries in high tech, when they don't have the money to invest in the clean water? Yes it makes sense but only for the countries who produce these gadgets. Is the wealth being created this way - I doubt it, to many write offs in the future. I don't simply believe we will ever achieve world free trade and from most obvious reason - world would have to become a fair place, no danger of this to happen as long as we are the humans.

PS. I didn't mention China or India as they finally start to realize the power they represent.
