All: I saw yesterday on "venture-CBC program" about how the smaller banks in Netherlands are getting into specialized services after their big banks merged to form 2 "mega" banks. They talked to a person from a smaller bank which found a niche in serving the very wealthy (he called them -the spoiled customers-) providing more personalized services. Anyone has any idea of any smaller areas, in Canada, that would be available for a smaller bank or trust company to "specialize in". This might lead us to the future "second line" banks in Canada if and when the M&As are completed. I am thinking of some of these trust companies perhaps joining forces to take this place. Any comments or discussions are welcome.
