This is an excellent article about the Republican National Convention System.

I always come back to the Constitution of the USA and Parliamentary Procedure which are the basis for
conduct of Resolutions and Rules Committees as they fit into the 'big picture' for conducting a convention.

If one is going to be a member of either the Resolutions or the Rules Committees --------
I suggest ------having a copy of the Constitution and the Roberts Rules Revised--------read them and
study----- read both and understand both to Chair the Rules or Resolutions Comittes and needless to say the Convention or the meeting.

Remember that this same structure holds from the 'local' level ----------e.g. in Virginia, we begin with the local 'Magisterial District '---------then to County Level------then to the Congressional District level------
then to the State Level--------then to the National Level.

By the time one gets to the National Level, the National Resolutions and the National Rules Committees
will be meetings to determine the final version for the Party Platform based upon the Rules and Resolutions
that make it through all of the States submissions in the USA.

What one will learn is that someone in Virginia has written a resolution that is similar to one written in California, New York , North Dakota------any state.

Eventually at the National Convention the Party Platform is written based upon the Constitution and Robert's Rules Revised.

In other words the best way to learn is through participation.
