regarding software, well as you know e-biz software is a cousin of the dot coms. We went through a software mini bust in 98 when the dot coms were flying, a lot of people don't remember that but it happened and buying at the lows then was a gold mine. Of coures that was the 90s version of a bust which was not a bust at all compared to this decade.

But anyway when dot coms recover as they are now it makes sense to look at software. The problem is I don't see any changes in the sw biz at all. The infrastructure players like sebl and sap are hurting mostly due to the US workforce downsizing, offshoring, and our loss of domestic call centers. The ebiz software which enables the websites you would think would be strong, but the new sites like friendster are going with a total Linux solution. So there you have it really.

Salesforce.com is IPOing soon and then we can look at the numbers there. They are supposed to be as hot as a software company can be in this climate. They have ONE job opening on hotjobs, must be an all offshore operation.
