Dave,

According to a Split-off prospectus that I have the GM Hourly plan special trust was the owner of one third of the EDS outstanding(485 million) at the time of the split-off. My GUESS is that they are reducing their position.

I believe that GM contributed these shares to the trust to reduce their pension trust deficit.
