Well, DSP can't overcome ALL physical limitations :-) But in cases like the shadowing caused by capacitave signal crossover in active matrix LCDs, Digital Signal Processing offers a method for cancelling the crossover signal. This can also be done with analog electrics if it needs to be cheap and fast. The advantage of DSP is that it offers convenient methods for adding time delays to signals without degradation. It is also interesting to note that other types of displays do not suffer from these types of defects nearly as much as LCDs. -bob
