Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) and Starbucks (Nasdaq: SBUX) announced early this morning that they will jolt Starbucks' North American locations with wireless broadband access and services. Microsoft will provide the content and services via privately held MobileStar's network infrastructure, to be deployed in late spring. According to the Seattle neighbors, Java Joes and Jos will enjoy high-speed Internet access available for their own laptops, phones, and personal digital assistants (PDAs) while sipping -- not spilling -- their Starbucks lattes and Frappuccinos.
