Mexico's Cardenes is much lower profile than Vincente Fox was.

If they had asked about Venezuela, lots of people would know Hugo.

Some of knowledge people have is longer term.

If asked to name some major exports of Chile, I expect many people would know copper and fresh fruit.

Brazil would be named with coffee, oranges, iron ore, and aircraft. Maybe even ethanol ;-)

Argentina would be beef and currency crises....
