Hi Dennis,

Thanks for your input! I wonder if my wife's students have Tamagotchis because the Tamagotchi supply has increased just as the demand started in her school?

Tonto, thanks for the Wal Mart report. My wife went to Wal-Mart at 6 AM on Friday for the same sale on Tamagotchis and had to fight hordes of kids around a big Tamagotchi bin for the $10 Tamagotchis. Actually, she never got in close to the bin, but talked a kid into looking for some of the cooler-looking Tamagotchis for her (must be that teacher charm :-)). The Tamagotchis were flying out of there! I noticed later in the day on Friday that Toys R Us and Wal Mart were well-stocked with Tamagotchis (this was the first time I had seen them on shelves at Toys R Us) and related Tamagotchi items (candy, beanbag baby Tamagotchis, etc.). Looks like Bandai has their "supply problem" solved. I am guessing they have been controlling supply to keep up demand (and prices) and have now opened the floodgates since they have so much competition. We should know how this stock is going to go after the Christmas shopping season.

At Toys R Us I also noticed that half of one side of an action figure aisle was stocked with only Bandai products, and a lot of parents and grandparents were buying Beetleborgs and Power Rangers, so maybe Bandai's other toy lines will do well this year, too.

Kirk
