A little known aspect of PMC's business is its presence in wireless voice and data Base Transceiver Stations. These stations convert and send the waves of radio frequency air traffic to the wireline backhaul system. These pipes are multiplexed and aggregated by data link controllers which provide switching and processing intelligence. PMC's HDLCs and ATM chips are key to this equipment.
