Patsy, the Jaz are fully compatible with Windows 95, which I imagine makes them fully compatible with Windows NT. They are compatible with SCSI in general, which may make them compatible with systems they were not intended for.
Yes, they are as fast as older hard drives, and they are also as fast as newer hard drives. Some computer magazines have tested them against hard drives, and they tested very favorably. You basically need SCSI to beat them, or really good IDE.
They can definately act as a secondary hard drive.

Iomega needs to drop prices to keep their fine competitive edge. They will. They have larger Jaz drives working in the lab, and I think they will drop the price of the 1GB Jaz when the larger ones arrive. The projected price changes are $299 for internal, and $399 for external. I believe the drive in the lab is 5GB.
