You wouldn't see an unborn child as a child since you are for abortion being legal

That's backward- at least for me.

I haven't made a decision that a fetus isn't a child BECAUSE I am for abortion and have to twist facts to make it ok. I don't believe a fetus is a child with full rights until it is born, and thus abortion doesn't conflict with my definition of child. However, my own personal bright line is the first trimester, when a woman has had time to learn of the pregnancy and assess her situation from both the practical and emotional aspects. I imagine we will find an entire Bell curve of bright lines- perhaps a skewed one. I make no claim at all that mine should govern someone else's belief or even that it's entirely logical.

That women have become far too careless about their bodies, and too cavalier in their decisions, is a different argument (and also, a matter of personal opinion). Removing the options doesn't solve that problem and takes away from reasonable, informed, and responsible women the ability to control their own lives. I dislike penalizing rational, responsible behavior even if it disagrees with my personal beliefs.
