Barnett piece confusing. he compares trust and Iran support by russia and china like we are being exposed to charges of hypocrisy. I guess you form your own ideas and publish them to work your way. He is the one using comparisons that are a hypocrisy. I have no idea how Iran will come down if they get nukes and we back off and build a star wars system around their country, or someone bombs them and put them behind ten years. In the meantime their leadership is unstable and threatening. He could have substituted Iraq with nukes vs Iran. I wonder if we didn't go into Iraq not saying it was right action but where would their wmd program be today knowing no one would stop him, russia would be there big time, oil for food program may still be going on. Al Q. could be manufacturing by now full scale deliverable wmd, with the experiments by Iraq,in various gases they were testing. I rather think we ran toward the future let the charges begin , i thought they were always there.
