How does the office suite word processor measure up and intermingle
with ms word documents? only via RTF format files? I have the same question regarding the spreadsheet app. Are the Microsoft formats published, licensed, or is it legal to de-contruct them? I get a lot of .doc files and .xls files thrown my way via attachments to the group E-mail list. Besides the questions I would have about home-maintained Linux OSes, how viable would a suite be that couldn't co-mingle. I wouldn't expect Excel to have import capability for applix format, how complete is the applix format export to excel?
