seattle drafted marcus tubbs in the 1st... he looks like a real athlete to me from the footage espn showed...

two of the gems for seattle were in the 2nd and 5th rounds...

in the 2nd they picked up boulware... about 6'3"... 230 lbs... 4.41 40-yard time....

NOW THAT'S JUST A PHREAKING ATHLETE!

it will be good to have that type of player on the field

in the 5th they picked up a nifty possession receiver...

in the 3rd they got a very solid offensive guard prospect..

in the 4th they got the insane linebacker... scouts said he had little upside, but teammates and friends said just the opposite... either way, people say he is a real wildman...

seattle now has 3, 320+ pound defensive tackles...

maybe less will be needed from the middle lb with the tackles in front and the likes of boulware at safety ...

in any case at middle linebacker they've got 3 or 4 journeymen.. plus this rookie pick to try and figure out what they're going to do

in the 6th they grabbed another dt ... that was a reach... scouting reports say he's a free-agent signee at best...

there had to have been someone better for seattle in that round... but the seahawks definitely drafted for need there...

with the emergence of okeafor as a decent outside pass rusher, and the addition of wistrom at the other end... and with 3 draft picks who could end up starting, all up through the middle of the defense (dt, mlb, ss)... it could be an exciting mix... they also added cornerback bobby taylor to the combo of ken lucas and marcus trufant

in round 7 seattle picked a punter with a booming leg

to sum it all up,

1: marcus tubbs, dt
2: boulware (olb converting to ss)
3: solid og
4: insane linebacker
5: solid wideout
6: dt not projected to make the team
7: punter with booming leg

ok.. now for the serious issue... did the rules committee change the rules so there is no longer any contact allowed between receivers and defenders within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage?
