That is a point, if you don't follow price and volume and ignore the externals you can miss a 37.7% move like last 3 days. How long would MSFT/dell/ibm/etc. take to return that? when this rally fails, it can go back to levels you stated or even make new lows.

The volume, I assume is people wanting to make money.
