Filtering out the insults, we are left with this argument:

(1) K8L, like K8, is primarily a server chip and will show what it can do best at 4 and 8 socket.

(2) you seem to think the opposite about AMD's 65nm, that it should be introed at the high end and not at the low end skus and when AMD say that it's because they want to ramp it up quickly you call them liars

(3) How much money did AMD and their execs make you ? Did they get incompetent overnight ? Yet you are just not giving them any slack, appreciation or benefit of the doubt

-----------------

On (1), I have not heard AMD make this claim, and do not agree with it. I have still not heard a valid reason for supposed 4 and 8 socket superior relative performance, vs 1 and 2 socket relative performance, especially when the competitive situation is taken into account.

On (2), I don't see any contradiction here. AMD needs to recapture the performance lead in large market segments. Desktop, mobile, and 1 & 2 socket server/workstation are much bigger than the 16 & 32 core server market.

On (3), All I can say is, wow. Investors don't "owe" anything to the management of companies they choose to invest in. And it would be really terrible advice to not call out executive BS when one sees it, just because of any past performance.

BTW, as an aside, AMD's recent past performance involved taking the stock from $40 to $20, and blowing $5B on buying ATI, a late, low-clocking 65nm transition, a disasterous 2x2 product, and a year-after-needed K8L core. I'm sure there are many on this board who would like some apologies from AMD management, even if you don't.
