Lorne, I'm a canuck, I heard something about the Polar thing but havnt pursued. Seems to me its a closed end fund and I only buy those at discounts. I own a US closed end convertible fund ECF(Ellsworth)trades on American, although they do virtually no hedging. I have positions in AirCan,Eagle (Hedged) and trying to get one going in Beazer.. I find more opportunities in the US, although since most of my money is in RSP's harder to get the foreign content. Scott
