Nearly every toy my 2 year old son has makes some kind of noise, or does something, to the point that he frequently brings me over normal stuffed animals and insists, "ON, ON, ON."

For as popular as these battery operated toys are as gifts, my son's two favorite toys are still:

1. One of those big balloons with a rubber band on the end; you're supposed to hold onto the rubber band and punch the balloon really fast.....he just throws it up into the air and laughs his head off; and

2. A 15' long string of gold beads suitable for a christmas tree, that he drags all over the house.

By the way, if anybody needs to the know the lyrics to any Sesame Street song ever made, I'm your guy. Quahog Jr. is an Ernie fanatic.
