I dropped by to find out how Ampex was doing, not to insult anybody. I was a little hasty in attacking LJD, and I apologize ("sorry, LJD"), but having just come off the AMD thread, I was getting a little tired of distractions (i.e., people talking at people rather that about products).
Unfortunately, I have little to add. My interest in Ampex was sparked by Ind Inv mag, and I invested because I felt Ampex represented a relatively conservative investment: 1) its been around awhile, long enough to have weathered several storms, 2) royalties provide some income even if the products don't fly tomorrow; and (3) they believe in top notch R&D as evidenced by the number of ideas they have produced which are in every day use today. Let's hope it is indeed a good long-term investment.
