Bill, my yellow roses are bushes. They are NOT climbers.......

The English roses that we can grow here are huge, larger than most people expected when they first planted them. Original tags on mine suggested maximum height of 4 feet or so. Most recent tags indicate that English roses could grow 14 feet or so! But branches on my yellow ones would break b4 they reached that height. I have one un-identified and mislabeled red one that will be huge. It doesn't bloom well so I will take it out next year. The three identical red ones that were also mislabeled are still small because they have so many problems with disease.

I've planted a new English rose in the back. It looks like it will be strong as a horse. So far it hasn't had problems with disease even though the nursery noted that mildew and black spot could be a problem. I spray it as well. I didn't order that one. The nursery tossed it in as a gift. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.

Are your blue roses in bloom?

The climbers that I ordered were labeled as climbers. And I did see two varieties of Peace ~ a climber and a bush.
