I totally agree. I KNOW the Republicans won't come up with a commonsense fix. But I'm not fully confident that the Dems will make all the right choices because of the political heat that will come with it.

The Bush tax cuts have dropped 50% of the country right off the tax rolls. How irresponsible is that???? It's crazy. Middle class folks have absorbed those irresponsible tax cuts by cranking up their life styles. Taking that money back could create real pain.....for ex. if a family used their tax cuts to trade up to a more expensive home and are now locked into that mortgage.

So if the Dems try to fix things,they become the party of 'tax raisers' and 'soak the rich' if and when they overturn some or all of the tax cuts. Beacuse of that, we can be sure they will obfuscate, too. They have to worry about re-election.
