Even if the ANWR was going into production it would take 7-10 years before the first drop of oil reached market. We will need the oil even worse in 7 to 10 years, so better get started now, which was said what, maybe 7 years ago. A better bet is the Alberta tar sands which are already in production and below capacity. Why not do both?
