Lots of good insight,

As I see it the main points:
1. Home automation hasn't crossed the chasm. <duh>
2. Vendors in "niche-marketing denial" will prolong the chasm crossing.
3. The big players (MSFT, CPQ, GTW, etc.) will force the mass market because they can afford the unprofitable entry products until the mass market winner is found.
4. The keys to getting the tornado started include mass market appeal by eliminating FUD, having a product with a low price point coupled with a simple user interface, and the "word-of-mouth" acceptance.

Sounds pretty basic, sort of a GG primer/refresher. The key for us investors in ELON and other companies who will benefit from home automation is PATIENCE.
