Mucho, with regard to the split, I don't think management would want people questioning the motives for a split and there IMO, I don't expect them to announce one.

I agree with you in that had the merger not been announced, a split announcement would be all but a lock. Now with the merger, a split announcement would imply..."if the merger fails", not something I'd want SDLI management to be contemplating at this time.

In the event that the merger did fail, they could always announcment a split immediately to try and offset and negative impact if any, such an event would have on SDLI stock.
