German April inflation highest since Feb 94
Frankfurt, May 11 (BridgeNews) - Final German consumer price index was revised upwards slightly to show a 0.4% rise in April from March, and a jump of 2.9% on year, the Federal Statistics Office said. Inflation in April was the highest recorded since February 1994, and was strongly affected by price developments in household energy, it said. German March real retail sales dn 1.9% vs Feb, dn 0.6% on year
Frankfurt, May 11 (BridgeNews) - German March retail sales fell a real 0.6% on the year and were up 0.7% in nominal price terms, the Federal Statistics Office said. From January to March, German retail sales fell by 0.3% in real terms and 1.0% in nominal price terms.
