Don -- I understand about the surface area, but on my camcorder the battery has three of four surfaces exposed to the air. (It's a Sony and the battery hangs off the back.) It seems that with a little design ingenuity (fins, for example) there should be plenty of exposure. A side note -- regarding AERN and cars, their annual report/prospectus specifically says that another company has the rights to big items like autos.
